Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Asclevor Medical Knowledge API, related SDKs, documentation, and the asclevor.com website (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, obtaining an API key, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity.

2. Description of the Service

Asclevor provides developers with programmatic access to a structured, cross-linked medical knowledge database — including conditions, symptoms, differentials, ICD-10 codes, and severity scores — through a REST API offered in several pricing tiers (Developer/Free, Starter, Growth, Scale, and Enterprise). The raw database is available under an open-source license; the hosted API is provided under these Terms.

3. No Medical Advice

The Service provides general health information infrastructure for use in software applications. It is not a medical device and does not provide clinical diagnoses, medical advice, or treatment recommendations. API responses are explicitly marked "Not for clinical diagnosis." You agree not to present Asclevor data as diagnostic, and you are solely responsible for how your application displays, contextualizes, and disclaims any information derived from the Service. If you intend to build a regulated clinical product, you are responsible for obtaining your own regulatory approvals.

4. Accounts and API Keys

You are responsible for safeguarding your API keys and for all activity that occurs under your account. One organization may not share keys across multiple accounts to circumvent rate limits or tier pricing. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute substantial portions of the dataset outside your application;
• Use the Service to train competing medical ontologies or structured-data products;
• Exceed your tier's rate limits or attempt to circumvent them;
• Use the Service in patient-facing clinical decision-making without appropriate regulatory clearance;
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable healthcare regulations.

Free-tier users who display "Powered by Asclevor" attribution in production applications may be eligible for quota upgrades at our discretion.

6. Data Availability and Quality

We publish a data quality SLA describing expected coverage of ICD-10 conditions and flag gaps in API responses. While we maintain confidence scoring and continuous enrichment of the database, medical knowledge evolves. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose, except as expressly stated in an Enterprise agreement.

7. Billing and Termination

Paid tiers are billed monthly or annually via our payment processor and renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where practicable. Upon termination, your right to access the API ceases immediately.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Asclevor shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amounts you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Changes

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or through the Service at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
